Today, my daughter and her husband announced to the world my first grandchild is on the way! Oh, and that they are going to be parents. I got to see an ultrasound with something that actually looked sort of human! Apparently, it was kicking. I am very excited. Baby will arrive at the end of October.
I talked to Don a lot while he was in his coma as I could tell his spirit was listening. I asked him to pick out good grandkids with a tiny bit of mischief in them. I wonder if he did? I can just picture the advice he’s given the kiddo, “Your mother LOVES earthworms. Take all you find to her.” Ha! “Walls make great blank canvases.” “You need to learn to take your own fish off the hook.” “Always remember, your Grandpa McCandless loves you.”
