Sherri met her husband, Sean Miller, in college where they both participated in marching band and were both music education majors. They discovered they had many common interests other than music and found themselves married two years later. They welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Mary Madilynn, to begin their family. The two of them started working as music teachers and felt they had the perfect lives meant for them.

Then, on January 7, 2015, Sherri’s world came crashing down when Sean was involved in a tragic car accident on his way to work that would take his life. Sherri, at just 29 years old and eleven weeks pregnant with their second child who would be named Sean Claude Miller II, knew she had to find purpose in her new life and continue forward. She assumed the role her husband held as a band director at the school he so proudly taught, where she stayed for four years. After seeing that she needed to move forward from her grief, Sherri left her husband’s position and less than a year later found herself teaching at a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents.
