Recently widowed, three months now. Hard to sleep at times. Cook too large portions, enough for two, wasting good food and wasting my energy. Giving away clothes in the closet and realize there are some things I have to keep. I need to see that item and I don’t want anyone else to wear it. My brain still thinks he will be coming home and will walk through the door calling my name. Oh God, when will I heal? I miss him so much. Who can relate with me? Not interested in dating. Just need to write to someone who has similar feelings and know what I am going through. Thank you for your support and thank you to anyone that cares enough to write me about how they cope with the loss of their love one.
I’m just finding this website by accident. So glad I did I need encouragement.
My husband Woody was killed in a motorcycle accident on our 3rd wedding anniversary in October 2018.
From the moment I was told of Woody’s death I felt overwhelmed. But when I walked through the front door of our home I felt GOD’S PEACE POUR OVER ME like a pitcher of water. I felt like I was being carried IN THE ARMS OF GOD. As I planned the services I picked the song JESUS BRING THE RAIN by Mercyme. If you listen to the words carefully you’ll understand. A year ago we had been in a motorcycle accident trying to avoid 2 deer. We ended up going down a 6ft embankment and hitting a tree. Woody was pinned under the bike, his foot was stuck between the foot pegs. A few weeks later he was having skin graft surgery for a 3rd degree burn to the arch support of his foot.
HOWEVER; another miracle happened God PROVIDED 3 PAYDAYS in the month of June which covered all our household bills. AGAIN GOD IS MY PROVIDER.
This pass week I’ve made the decision to move back to Pennsylvania to care for my mother. Please pray for this situation as well.
As I begin to pack up our belongings bittersweet memories often flood my mind and the home Woody and I called HOLLYWOOD.
Holly+Wood(y). He was the Chaplain of our motorcycle club, he was the glue that kept the club together. We loved sharing our testimony and praying for complete strangers as well as friends.
Sorry this was so long.
I feel this is a place for me to find inspiration to move on after a widowhood of close to 7 years now; no job, no property, no friend and no income generating project but hopeful because I have many talents and skills but no startup cash. God still cares despite all and I love Jesus for being there always for me. Will share full story if am accepted by anyone out there.
Awesome!!!
